MEPCF’s Critical Conversations series creates a safe and structured space for thoughtful, dignified dialogue on the most pressing issues within the Palestinian-Israeli relationship. Each series typically consists of three episodes, giving participants an opportunity to reflect, return and come to a form of completion to deepen the conversations.

Why Dialogue Matters
Too often, peace efforts focus solely on finding common ground while avoiding difficult but necessary issues. While this may reduce tension temporarily, it fails to address the critical areas of unworkability that continue to fuel division.
At the Middle East Peace Civic Forum, we believe that the only way out is through. This means moving through real, honest, and courageous conversations that acknowledge pain, confront radicalism and oppression, and create space for genuine understanding.
A New Model for Constructive Engagement
Critical Conversations bring together individuals with diverse perspectives and lived experiences, including those with at times conflicting viewpoints.
With the support of our highly trained facilitators, participants engage in:
Straight, honest talk—expressing their truths openly and respectfully
Deep, reflective listening—hearing others beyond assumptions and stereotypes
Shared discovery—the willingness to broaden perspective, deepen understanding, and create new possibilities.
These conversations aren’t about winning debates—they’re about building bridges, fostering mutual recognition, and creating a foundation for real change.
Beyond the Room: A Model for the World
We record and publish Critical Conversations online, offering viewers the opportunity to watch and listen at any time. Each episode offers opportunity to gain a more nuanced understanding of key issues and a powerful model for constructive, solution-oriented engagement.
