The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has long been defined by division, fear, and competing narratives. At the Middle East Peace Civic Forum (MEPCF), we believe real peace begins with a new kind of conversation.

In this new kind of conversation, we push the envelope to say what needs to be said, even though it may be difficult. And we affirm our commitment to listening deeply while honoring our common humanity.

We are a movement of Israelis, Palestinians, and global allies committed to reconciliation, partnership, and peace. Through dialogue, creative action, and bold leadership, we create the conditions for coexistence and cooperation.

Our programs are designed to create safe, constructive spaces for thoughtful, honest conversations.

We bring a diversity of voices to the table, where our professional facilitators keep the focus on straight talk and deep, dignified listening.

We envision a reality of:

  • Reconciliation, dignity, and peace within the Abrahamic Family

  • Israelis and Palestinians working together as allies and partners, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea

  • All the people of the land living together in mutual respect and a shared commitment to the rights, and responsibilities, of all.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create communication, inspire vision, and empower action that brings about real peace and lasting transformation to all impacted by the Israeli-Palestinian relationship.

Our Model of Change

In our analysis, peace efforts focused solely on finding common ground miss an important part of the equation. Avoiding points of contention may suppress conflict in the short term, but is dangerously ineffective over time. 

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict features real, critical issues that must be addressed: extremism, arrogance, and the teaching of hate, among them.

At MEPCF, we understand that the only way out is through. Sometimes it is necessary to call out unworkability and draw appropriate boundaries. 

The best way to do that is through real communication. 

Only by addressing real and sometimes uncomfortable issues can we get to a point where we can begin to create a workable future.

Our Core Programs

  • Critical Conversations

    The ‘Critical Conversations’ series provides a safe and constructive space for thoughtful, dignified dialogue in a multi-session format.

    We bring to the table diverse and thoughtful individuals with often differing views on critical issues. Our facilitation team is well trained to encourage straight, honest talk and cultivate deep, respectful listening.

    Critical Conversations are recorded and published online, offering viewers a nuanced understanding of the issues and a positive model for how to interact constructively on this topic.

  • Peace Tribe Rising Podcast

    Podcast guests include those with deep involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian relationship, as well as healing practitioners from a variety of disciplines working to improve the human condition.

    The name “Peace Tribe Rising” transcends separate and divisive identities and empowers those of all stripes and colors to embrace a compelling shared identity: that of the Peacemakers and those who believe that peace is possible.

    Anyone who believes in and is willing to work for peace gets to be included in the Peace Tribe.

  • Eden’s Echo Conference

    Eden’s Echo is a transformative peace conference that will bring together civil society peace leaders for a transformative dialogue. Hosted on the Caribbean island of St. Croix, this nine-day conference will welcome 8-12 thoughtfully chosen participants, guided by our team of expert facilitators.

    Participants will have an opportunity to craft a visionary public statement, affirming a common mission and values and acknowledging key areas ripe for a breakthrough. A community concert will celebrate reconciliation and forge hope for a reimagined and peaceful future.
